The right KYC tool for a Finnish accounting firm should cover representatives, beneficial owners, sanctions screening, risk classification, ongoing monitoring and a documented audit trail.
Sanctions screening is not just a one-off name search. An accounting firm needs to know who is checked, when checks are repeated, how hits are handled and how the audit trail is retained.
Finnish accounting firms are subject to anti-money laundering obligations. Sanctions list checks, customer due diligence and monitoring of suspicious activity belong in the accounting workflow.
